The ladies travelled out to Peters Township to take on the Indians in a Monday night matchup under the lights. It was a rough start for the Warriors on the circle in the first quarter leading the Indians in control of the game. The Warriors were down by 6 at the end of the first quarter with a score of 6-0. 

The Warriors got a little pep in their step and made some adjustments to hold the Indians to four goals in the second quarter. Attacker, Georgia Vislocky, scored the first goal of the night ending the first half at 10-1. The defense came out ready to battle during the second half of the game. 

Midfielder, Adalyn Hawk, led the defensive unit on a mission to try and shut down the powerful Peters Township offense. Hawk worked her way around the field using her strong 1 v 1 defensive skills to help keep the scoring to a minimum. Gianna Botti protected the net and helped her team gain possession by forcing the Indians to turn the ball over several times. Maura Spadone, Mary Brobst, and and CeCe Doughty also contributed to the defensive push with forcing turnovers, scooping ground balls, and clearing the ball to the offensive end of the field. Annabelle Aquino’s speed and shifty foot work helped her get the first Warrior goal of the third quarter on a free position shot. After a fast break, Adalyn Hawk found Georgia Vislocky on the field adding another Warrior point to the scoreboard. Hawk had the last goal of the third quarter after being awarded a free position shot from a check to the head. Quarter three ended with a score of 12-4. 

The Warriors defense held the Indians to two goals in the last quarter of the game. Abby Baughman planted one in the net off of an assist from midfielder, Adalyn Hawk. Ayla Moffa had the last goal of the night ending the game with a 14-6 loss against the Indians. The girls will take on Bethel Park Wednesday night at home.
