The girls dusted off their cleats and took to the field at home Friday night as they matched up against the Butler Tornadoes for their first game of the season. Annabelle Aquino, Avery Bosack, and Adalyn Hawk dominated the circle in the first half of the game by gaining position and getting the ball into the offensive zone. Senior, Ayla Moffa, put the team on the scoreboard with the first goal of the night. Bosack, Aquino, and Georgia Vislocky each put one in the net during the first quarter. Annabelle Aquino reached a milestone in the second quarter with her free position shot that helped her hit her 100th career point. The girls kept a steady lead, but started to break away from their opponent in the third quarter with goals from Adalyn Hawk and Avery Bosack leaving it 7-3 (PT) at the end the of the third quarter. Defender, Mary Brobst, had multiple successful clears from Hagan to get the ball into the offensive zone. Goaltender, Madison Hagan, had several clutch saves and successful clears that helped keep the Warriors in the lead. The girls (Baughman, Aquino, Bosack, and Vislocky) racked up six more goals in the last quarter to finish up the game with a final score of 13-4.
