Warriors Get Playoff Win Over South Fayette 49-28

Behind a solid rushing attack, the Warriors won a home playoff game for the first time since 2021 in a 49-28 victory over South Fayette. Tasso Whipple led the way with 148 yards and a score on the ground. Derek Carr scored three rushing touchdowns on 76 yards rushing. And Ben Grabowski, returning from injury, ran for 82 yards. Jonny Lovre opened the scoring for PT on a one yard run. Jack Miller kicked the first of seven extra points on the night. The Warriors scored three times in the fourth quarter. Whipple had a 46 yard interception return while junior David Dziedzic recovered a PT fumble in the end zone. The Warriors were only stopped once on offense the entire night.
Defensively Jamison Yurt led the team with nine tackles. Jacob Briggs, Dom Smith and Whipple all had sacks for the Warriors.
Next week Penn-Trafford travels to play #3 Peters Township in the quarterfinals of the 5A playoffs. Kickoff is at 7pm.
