Senior Tasso Whipple surpassed 3,000 csreer rushing yards in Penn-Trafford’s 26-10 win over Franklin Regional. Whipple scored on touchdown runs of 15 and 29 yards. Jack Miller kicked a 32 yard field goal and Jonny Lovre ran for a one yard TD.
The Warriors had a big night on special teams. Michael Cheplick had a big 45 yard kickoff return to set up the first TD for PT. Kellan Taylor blocked a FR field goal attempt returned by Brady Newell. The Warriors blocked a punt and Jamison Yurt tackled FR in the end zone for a safety. Cheplick also caused and recovered a FR fumble off a punt to set up the Lovre score. Lovre had four punts for a 49.3 average.
Next week the Warriors travel to Armstrong in another Big East Conference game. Kickoff is at 7pm.
