Penn-Trafford captures their first conference win of the season with a 33-7 win at Kiski Area. The Warriors opened the scoring on a 3 yard run by senior Tasso Whipple. Logan Hunter's extra point was good to give PT a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. The Cavaliers tied the game on an 18 yard pass in the 3rd. But the Warriors responded with the play of the game. On the next play, Michael Cheplick ran back a 98 yard kickoff return on a spectacular run to give PT a 13-7 lead. The Warriors exploded for three scores in the fourth quarter. Derek Carr rushed for 2 yards out while Jack Weishaar caught a 4 yard pass from Jonny Lovre to put PT on top 26-7. Freshman Cody Yacamelli ended the scoring for the Warriors with a 20 yard touchdown run on his first career varsity carry. Whipple led all rushers with 185 yards on 14 carries. Carr added 101 on 11 touches. Jamison Yurt led the defense with 14 tackles. Brandon Long had a sack for PT.
Next week the Warriors return home to face the Plum Mustangs in a non-conference game on Homecoming night.
