Football Defeats Mt. Lebanon 28-7 in Home Opener

Four different Warriors scored touchdowns in a 28-7 win over My. Lebanon in the home opener. Senior Derek Carr scored on a 1 yard run to give PT a first quarter lead. The Blue Devils tied it up on a 6 yard reception by Grayson Beck in the 2nd quarter. Dom Smith caught a 14 yard pass from Jonny Lovre to give Penn-Trafford the 14-7 lead at the half.
Tasso Whipple broke free on a 37 yard run to put PT ahead 21-7 in the fourth. Michael Cheplick closed out scoring for the Warriors on a 3 yard run late in the 4th. Jessie Lisbon caught an interception in the end zone to seal the game for PT.
Whipple rushed for 136 yards on 22 carries. Lovre went 17 for 26 for 217 yards. Jack Weishaar had 10 catches for 130 yards. Logan Hunter went 4 for 4 on extra points. Landyn Stikkel had 8 tackles. Whipple, Stew Pfeil, and Tyler Boss had 6 tackles.
Next week Penn-Trafford hosts Moon in a non-conference game on Warrior Football Hall of Fame night.
