The Penn Trafford JV Boys Basketball team opened their season with a 62-52 victory at Peters Township. The Warriors battled an aggressive Peters Township team in the first half, but outscored the Indians 20-8 in the third quarter to build a lead and held off the Indians for the victory. Freshman Jason Sabol lead the Warriors in scoring with 22 points. Tyler Freas added 21 while going 9/10 from the line. Michael Dinapoli and Tommy Kalkstein both contributed 6 points, while Giovanni Merola added 4, and Andrew Kessler scored 2. The JV Boys will begin section play at home on Tuesday against Fox Chapel.
