After a week-long closure in order to assess damages from a few visitors, Penn-Trafford’s Warrior Stadium has reopened to the community effective January 27.
After a thorough inspection of the field, school officials have determined that damages can be remedied during routine maintenance and no extensive harm to the turf occurred. However, visitors are reminded not to move equipment or disturb the turf in any way. This includes the removal of snow during the winter months, leaving all field maintenance responsibilities to the proper Penn-Trafford staff.
The stadium is now open whenever school is not in session. The community is welcome to use the facilities on weekdays prior to 8:00 am and after 3:00 pm and all day on weekends, except during school events. Beginning on March 8, there will be daily athletic practices after school and the field will be unavailable until practices end.
