Warriors News · UPDATED Penn-Trafford Spectator Guidelines (Effective 10/9/20)

Dear Warrior Families:

Effective Friday, October 9, 2020

The Penn-Trafford School District will be implementing the following updated plan for home events as it relates to spectators at sporting events.  Please only sit in the marked spots (stickers) for social distancing seating.  Seats are marked in pairs for household members to sit together.  Only family members may sit together in more than 2.  When in attendance, spectators must wear face coverings at all times and follow social distancing and seating guidelines. Seating areas are all marked to adhere to occupancy limits and to allow for at least six feet between each group or spectator.  Concession stands will remain closed. In addition, all spectators must park in the upper lots and enter through the upper gates. You may only sit in the bleachers on the Pat Kelly Press Box side of the stadium.  It is recommended that spectators are on the opposite side of the field, distanced from the student-athletes when possible (soccer, field hockey). Please find the information associated with each of our remaining Fall Sports, as it applies to the current attendance mandate.  When attending outdoor Penn-Trafford events, people are required to wear face coverings and keep on at all times if they are unable to keep a distance of six feet from people who are not members of their households.  When attending indoor events a mask is required at all times.  The state’s updated gathering limit still counts players, coaches, staff, band, cheer and all other game-day workers toward the overall total.  This means that with socially distanced seating in pairs (family) we can have up to a max of 960 in the stadium.  When spots are reduced by multiple people or singles it reduces that number.

Varsity Football games will be limited to accommodate our football players, cheerleaders, and band first.  We will admit 2 people from each family of the high school football team, varsity cheerleading and the band.  We will also provide 2 tickets to each away Big East Conference football team player’s family.  Extra tickets can not be provided to anyone.  If any extra spots are available for games we will involve our students first.  No outside spectators are permitted.

JV Football and JV Cheer has one game remaining at home with Franklin Regional on Saturday, October 24 at 10am.  At this time we ask home and away spectators to limit to family only.  There will be no charge.

Boys and Girls High School Soccer (Varsity and JV) and Girls Field Hockey (Varsity and JV) will be issued 2 wristbands per PT player at no cost for each night or weekend game.  The gate will then be open to anyone entering at $5 admission regardless of home or away fan.  This will mean that anyone outside of the wristband recipients will pay $5 to enter.  There are no other passes accepted.  If at any time we get close to our social distance capacity we will at that point only admit those in with issued wristbands and stop allowing other outside spectators into the stadium.

Girls Volleyball (High School) families will be issued 2 wristbands per PT player at no cost.  We will also allow 2 family members per visiting player at $5 each when we can accommodate.   We will admit them from a provided roster at the gate.  No other spectators will be permitted in at this time.

7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball (at Trafford MS) at this time we will allow 2 family members per rostered player. No other spectators will be permitted in at this time.
