Dear Warrior Families:
The Penn-Trafford School District will be implementing the following plan for home events as it relates to spectators at sporting events. Please sit in the marked spots only for social distancing seating. Families may sit together. When in attendance, spectators must wear face coverings at all times and follow social distancing guidelines. Seating areas, including bleachers, will be marked to adhere to occupancy limits and to allow for at least six feet between those not in the same household. Concession stands will be closed. In addition, all spectators must park in the upper lots and enter through the upper gates. You may only sit in the bleachers on the Pat Kelly Press Box side of the stadium. The Warrior Center lot and surrounding areas are closed to all spectators. It is recommended that spectators are on the opposite side of the field, distanced from the student-athletes when possible (soccer, field hockey). Please contact our office if you require special assistance attending. Please find the information associated with each of our Fall Sports, as it applies to the current attendance mandate below.
Varsity Football games will be very limited and it will change on a game by game basis. A new plan will be disseminated for each home game that will accommodate our football players, cheerleaders, and band first. No visiting parents/spectators will be permitted inside the gates at this time until changes to our current mandate occur. Information pertaining to away games will be communicated when available. As of now Peters Twp. and Gateway games are closed to visiting spectators.
JV Football will be limited to 2 family members per player. The same limit applies to members of the JV Cheer Squad. Passes will be distributed prior to the games. Anyone without a pass will not be admitted into the stadium. No visiting parents/spectators will be admitted until a change occurs in the current mandate. Information on away games will be communicated when available. No spectators are permitted at Latrobe at this time.
Ninth Grade Football will be limited to 2 family members per player. Passes will be distributed to families. Anyone without a pass will not be admitted. No visiting parents/spectators will be admitted at this time until a change in the current mandate occurs. Information on away games will be communicated when available.
Middle School Football players and Middle School Cheerleaders will be limited to 2 family members per player. Passes will be distributed to our families. Anyone without a pass will not be permitted in the stadium. No visiting parents/spectators until changes occur with the current mandate. Information pertaining to away games will be communicated when available.
Boys and Girls High School Soccer (Varsity and JV) and Girls Field Hockey (Varsity and JV) will be limited to 2 family members per PT player. There will be select games that involve PT cheerleading and parents also. Visiting teams will be permitted 2 family members at $5 each. They will submit a list to our office prior to the event and only those on the list will be permitted to enter. This will be limited to visiting schools that will allow our parents in under the same circumstances. Passes will be distributed to the families of players. Anyone without a pass will not be permitted in the stadium. Information pertaining to away games will be communicated when available.

Family members are to sit on the opposite side of the players only and they must bring chairs. Please adhere to all guidelines listed above. Information pertaining to away games will be communicated when available.
Cross Country (High School and Middle School) are all away meets. We will communicate any information provided by the home schools to our Coaches when available.
Boys and Girls Golf spectators fall under the rules and regulations of the courses we play regardless of home or away matches. We will communicate any information provided to us when made available.
Girls Tennis is open to 2 PT family members per home match. Family members are asked to not sit in the bleachers. You must stay in the parking lot areas at all times. Information pertaining to away matches will be communicated when available.
Girls Volleyball (High School and Ninth Grade) is not open for any attendance for home or away matches at this time.
There is a bill currently awaiting Gov. Tom Wolf’s signature that would allow school districts to establish their own facility maximum capacity for indoor and outdoor events. The district is working on a plan should HB 2787 become law and additional information will be released as necessary. Please be aware that if or when the bill is passed, we will release our plan as soon as we can implement it. We have marked seats in Warrior Stadium in pairs for families with stickers that say sit here. This allows us to accommodate more family members and creates more seats/opportunities if we have the chance to expand our attendance numbers.
Current guidance from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania states no more than 25 people including athletes, coaches, officials, spectators and gameday personnel shall be permitted at indoor events, and no more than 250 people including athletes, coaches, officials, spectators and gameday personnel shall be permitted at outdoor events.
Guidance for Caregivers and Spectators
- Seating areas, including bleachers, must adhere to social distancing requirements of at least 6 feet of spacing for anyone not in the same household. To assist with proper social distancing, areas should be clearly marked.
- Everyone age 2 or older must wear face coverings (masks or face shields) at all times, unless they are outdoors and can consistently maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, or fall under an exception listed in Section 3 of the Secretary of Health’s Order on Universal Face Coverings.
- Caregivers or spectators should not enter the field of play or bench areas.
- Non-essential visitors, spectators, and volunteers should be limited when possible, including activities with external groups or organizations. Parents should refrain from attending practices, or volunteering to assist with coaching.
- Caregivers and coaches should assess levels of risk based on individual athletes on the team who may be at a higher risk for severe illness.
- Caregivers should monitor their children for symptoms prior to any sporting event. Children and athletes who are sick or showing symptoms must stay home.
