Senior and Junior Students,
Student parking at Penn-Trafford High School is a privilege and will be offered to Senior and Junior students in good standing.
Work release, college release, and some Vo-Tech students will be assigned lots that are closer to the front entrance of the building. For safety reasons, we would prefer students that go in and out of the building after the start of school to exit the building from the main office.
Parking Pass applications through FamilyId will be accepted beginning at 8:00 am Monday, August 17th through Tuesday, August 18th for SENIORS ONLY! JUNIORS can begin to apply on Wednesday, August 19th at 8:00 am. Registration is for licensed drivers only. Any Juniors who apply before August 19th will be removed from Family Id and will need to reapply.
FamilyId registration for parking passes will remain open until all spots are filled. After that we will no longer be able to sell passes due to safety reasons.
After successfully completing the application, parking passes will be available for pickup starting Monday, August 24th beginning at 8:00 am in the Athletic Office. In order to receive your permit, you must bring your current driver’s license. You will need to follow CDC and School Health Guidelines, masks will be required.
Applications will only be accepted if they are fully completed. Applications must also include the parking fee of $50.00 (Reduced for 2020-21 only) for the Upper Parking Lots. Due to extenuating circumstances and in order to offer additional parking spaces, we are opening the Warrior Center lot for $25.00. Parking funds are applied to our school security and student activities, but we do understand the need to reduce the price for this school year. Students can choose either the Upper Lot or the Warrior Center Lot. Students that are on the restricted list are not permitted to purchase a parking permit until their obligation(s) are fulfilled. Dr. Horvat has sent emails to those who have obligations. Please check your school email. You may arrange to serve detentions, following all COVID guidelines, when the building is open.
There will be multiple shuttle runs from the Warrior Center starting at approximately 7:10 am and after school for those parking at the Warrior Center.
All drivers will be assigned to one of four lots at the school if the student chooses the upper lots. Parking permits will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Our goal is to have a spot for all of those who apply.
Illegal parking by any student will result in school discipline as outlined in the student handbook. Students parking in the wrong lot or driving without a permit may permanently lose driving privileges and face additional disciplinary actions. Parking privileges may be revoked due to reckless driving, unsafe or noisy vehicles, continued tardiness to school and/or other school violations. You can not sell or transfer your parking pass after purchasing. The permit must be displayed on the rear view mirror and visible at all times.
